50th Reunion

the class of '65 reunion committee did it right... it was a success.
The theme for the reunion was “A Tribute to Our Fallen Eagles.” The names of the Fallen Eagles that we know about were read by Harold Stovall and Sandra Beebe while a slide show of their pictures was shown, it was quite touching. Our Class President, Owen Goodwyne, did a great Job as our Emcee.
Friday night was a dinner cruise on the Foxy Lady! We had 121 classmates on the cruise. The food was great and the captain and his crew made our trip wonderful. After the cruise we returned to the hotel for a wonderful time of renewing friendships, making new friends with the ones we did not know in school, enjoying the music and dancing. Great job by Peggy and Hoss.
On Saturday those that wanted to play golf met up in the lobby of the Crowne Plaza and went to Hyde Park Golf course. The rest hung out or went shopping. That evening we had 182 classmates and spouses at the Crowne Plaza for a wonderful night of old memories and making new ones.
Manuel Travassos said the prayer/blessing prior to the dinner Saturday night.
Some of our classmates came for the first time and from as far away as California, Texas, Colorado, Alabama, and Maryland.
Thank you all who came and those who worked so hard to make the 50th Class reunion a success!
